Chris Scroggins

Chris Scroggins became the Academic Director of Esports at West Virginia University in January 2023. Within his role, he manages departmental operations, mentors learners, develops curriculum, and facilitates relationships with industry partners. In addition to his role at WVU, he is the CEO and Co-founder of Esports Development and Growth Enterprise (EDGE). Within EDGE, he oversees the day-to-day business operations of the company. 

Before his role with WVU, Scroggins was an Instructor of Esports at Shenandoah University. He has presented at numerous academic conferences, headlined multiple podcasts, and appeared on major media and news sources such as NPR. Scroggins’s specialty lies within esports curriculum development, esports business, and strategic planning.
